What is Urban Hiking?

The following talk assumes you are a passenger on a ship docked at the Broadway Pier, at the foot of Broadway and Harbor Drive (west of the downtown area). But many visitors to San Diego stay near downtown so the adjustments to navigation should be minor ones… just pretend you got off a cruise ship and all directions will work for you. Here is the web site for the details of the Regional Day Pass. and you may notice that the first time you buy the pass there is a extra two dollar fee for a “Compass Card”… fortunately that is a one time fee.

Our trolleys have improved since the early part of the 20th century but their coverage of the city has gone down… now it’s trolley and bus thing to get to many locations.
