Viking Sea Montreal to New York

Once again on a beautiful Viking ship, the Sea, from Montreal to New York City. We enjoyed the trip so much last year, we repeated the journey. This year was filled with wonderful sights and food and entertainment, and the list goes on.

A few more side trips are included in this year’s photo journal, but you can see for yourselves:

Montreal… The ship was docked minutes away from the Old Town area, but we also took the included tour of the city.

Quebec City… One of my favorite places. We toured on our own in the morning and a tour to a local Native American village later in the day.

Saguenay… A lovely town on the edge of the Canadian wilderness. We visited a cheese factory, winery making blueberry wine, and a wonderful town play (photos not allowed).

Gaspe… We headed to Perse, a nearby town, to see the sights and sample the local beverages (Pit Caribou).

Halifax and Peggy’s Cove… A tour of a nearby scenic town, and then a hike around the city of Halifax on a warm autumn day was a wonderful treat.

Boston… We spent much of the time on the Freedom Trail (red brick line) visiting historic spots and enjoying the sunny Fall weather.

New York… We toured the city to see the sights, and visited the 911 Memorial and Museum which was very emotionally moving.

See you on the waves!
